Dwelling Fire on Wood Street in South Coatesville

On Wednesday evening January 8, 2020 the Modena Fire Company along with mutual aid ( Coatesville, Westwood, VA Fire Dept, and East Brandywine for RIT) was dispatched to a reported dwelling at 30 Wood Street in South Coatesville Borough.

Chief 37 (Dowlin) responded and was advised caller reported a window frame on fire, Deputy 44 (Scott) arrived report a 2 story dwelling with fire around a window on side B.

Chief 37 arrived and established Wood Street Command, Deputy 44 went interior and reported very little smoke inside believed fire to be contained to exterior.

Engine 43 arrived and pulled a hand line, crews worked to extinguish the fire and check for extension on all floor.

The Fire was quickly placed under control, RIT (Engine & Ladder 49) was stood down and sent to Modena Station to cover the area.
