It is with deepest regrets and heavy hearts that the Modena Fire Company announces the passing of long time member and Past Fire Captain Bill “LB” Solen Jr. March 13 2020.

Bill or LB as most called him was a long time resident of East Fallowfield and served the company in the Late 80's and early 90's before moving away. During his time with the company he was a huge part of the active crew and over the year moved up in the ranks to the position of Fire Captain.

Chief Dowlin said “Bill always had a smile on his face and was just full of life, he was one of those guys everyone just wanted to hang around. Bill was just one of the many people that helped me in my younger years to get me started here in Modena”

Along with Bill was his mother Janice and father Bill Sr this family was very active in many aspects of the company, making the Solen's just one of the many families in the company's history.

After moving away Bill continued serving his community with the Atglen Fire Company where he was also a life member and officer.

The officers and members send our deepest condolences to his loving wife Deb and family, and would like you to know you're in our hearts and prayers.
