Engine Assist Avondale on Barn Fire in New Garden Township

On Sunday August 31 2014 at 1920 the Modena Fire Company was alert for one engine to relocate the Avondale Fire Company.
Engine 37-2 made the response and while in route to station 23 was redirected to go to the scene and assist at a barn fire at 303 Newark Road in New Garden Township.
Engine 37-2 arrived on scene and it crews assisted with extinguishing the barn that had been hit by lighting during the passing storms.
Engine 37-2 remained on scene for just about 2 hours before returning to quarters at 2115.
