Crew Takes Night Off for Annual Awards Banquet

On Saturday April 15, 2017 the members, distinguished guest, family, and friends of the Modena Fire Company gathered at Volunteers Hall in Wagontown for the 2016 awards banquet.

The evening started out with a social hour before enjoying a fine dinner provided by ESP Catering.

Following dinner it was time for members to be recognized for their hard work in 2016. First up was EMS Chief Douglas Dowlin who presented the 100 club members on the EMS side and EMS person of the year, this year recipient was Chris Corle Sr., Chief Dowlin was next up presenting the 100 club on the fire side and Firefighter of the year, this year's recipient was Paul Rullo. Then Chief Dowlin handed out a Chief’s Award to a member that showed leadership, dedication, and honor to the company, this year recipient was Justin Carro.

Following the awards it was time to let loose and enjoy the evening with fellowship and dancing. The company remained out of service until midnight allowing our members to enjoy their time off.

The officers and members of the company would like to thank the Honeybrook Fire Company and Washington Hose Ambulance for covering our station throughout the evening.
