On Thanksgiving Day 2017 the Modena Fire Company members had a very busy day handling five fire calls and an additional couple of EMS calls.

The morning started with being alerted at 1039 to assist the City of Coatesville on a reported dwelling fire on Merchant Street. Units were recalled while in route to that incident.

At 1555 the company was alerted for an auto accident at South Caln and West Chester Roads in East Fallowfield. Units closed the road and controlled hazards at that incident.

At 1938 the company was alerted to another auto accident at 908 Buck Run Road in East Fallowfield. Units were cancelled in route by East Fallowfield PD, reporting disabled vehicle and no service needed.

At 2040 the company was alerted to relocate one engine to the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company. Po-Mar-Lin was operating at a working dwelling fire in East Marlborough Township.

At 2059 Engine 37-1 with a crew of six was redirected from the stand-by at station 36 and called to the scene as part of the 2nd alarm at 451 Dean Drive in East Marlborough. Engine 37-1 arrived and it crew was eventually put to work assisting on fire suppression, and overhaul.

Engine 37-1 returned to quarters at 0115 in the morning Friday.

Days like this again prove what a great dedicated group of volunteers we have here in Modena, between runs they enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with their families but throughout the day continued to run out and provide these services to the community.
