Snow Causes Multiple Accidents on Super Bowl Sunday

On the morning of February 4, 2018 at 11:21am Station 37 was dispatched to the area of 2480 Strasburg Rd for the accident. Assistant 37 arrived first and reported he had 3 different accidents in the same area with one vehicle overturned.

Engine 37-1, Engine 37-3, Squad 37, Traffic 37, Ambulance 37-2 all made the response to this incident.

One subject was transported to PMH. Fire Police were on scene to shut the road down until East Fallowfield showed up to salt the roads.

The company was dispatched to a fourth accident while on scene of these three, Engine 37-1 made the response to Route 82 and Covered Bridge for a minor accident.

The area was hit with freezing rain and snow that quickly made the roads hazardous before road crews could get to work, multiple accidents were dispatched county wide in an hour’s time.
