Working Fire with Entrapment in the CIty

In the early morning hours of July 23, 2018 the Modena Fire Company was alerted just before 4am for a reported house fire assisting the Coatesville Fire Department.

As units made the response they were advised by county radio they had the resident on the phone stating they were trapped on the second floor. The working fire dispatch was alerted up grading the incident with confirmed entrapment.

Ladder 41-1 arrived reporting 3 story half a double with fire showing and one hanging from a window.

City personnel quickly rescue the resident from the window, before deploying hand lines and starting fire attack.

Engines from 38, 37, 35, 76, and Ladder 8 all arrived and assisted on fire suppression and overhaul of the structure.

The fire was placed under control about 45 minutes later with all units working.

Modena Units cleared the scene at 0555 Hours and return to station for clean up.
