On Thursday evening October 11, 2018 the fire company traveled to the East Fallowfield Elementary school for a visit with Cub Scout Pack 219. This visit had been planned for several weeks with the sole purpose of talking to the kids about fire safety.

The evening started with the group coming out side and looking over the apparatus, following the apparatus display the group broke up into two, one group went to a class room where Chief Dowlin and some of his firefighter went over fire safety, home evaluation plains then firefighters demonstrated search and rescue techniques and showed the scouts show more equipment. At the second station scouts meet with Deputy EMS Chief Carro and our EMS Staff and went over medical things like bleeding control, splinting, burns, poisonings, and more including some of the EMS equipment.

Each group spent about 20 minutes at each station

The Modena Fire Company would like to thank the pack leaders of 219, the parents, and most of all the Cub Scouts for the invite.
