EMS Call Prompts Helicopter Landing at East Fallowfield Park

On Friday Afternoon June 5 2019 at 1604 the Modena Ambulance and Medic 93 were alerted to a residents on Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield for a subject that dove into a swimming pool striking his head.

Ambulance 37-2 and Medic 93 arrived and after a quick evaluation of the patient determined that air medical was needed, The Modena Fire Company and PennStar 4 was alerted.

Chief 37 (Dowlin) and Engine 37-2 made the response to the East Fallowfield Park, Traffic 37 closed the entrance to the park and East Fallowfield Police cleared the park of guest.

Chief 37 took LZO (landing zone officer), crews set up cones and around 15 minutes later PennStar 4 landed, the crew from the helicopter was then transported to the scene on Strasburg by Chief 37.

A short time later all EMS arrived at the landing zone, after loading PennStar 4 took off heading toward a hospital in Philadelphia but later redirected to Reading due to thunderstorms in the city.
