Two Vehicle Accident on Memorial Day

On Memorial Day at 3 pm, Modena Fire & EMS along with Westwood Rescue 44 and MICU44 were dispatched to Doe Run Rd & Buck Run for an auto accident reported with one trapped. Two vehicles were reported to be involved.

Deputy 44 arrived first and changed the location to Buck Run Rd & Baron Crest Way and confirmed two vehicles involved but had negative entrapment. Chief 37 arrived and assumed Buck Run Command and recalled Rescue 44 since there was no entrapment.

Engine 37-1 and Ambulance 37-2 made the response along with Fire Police from 37 & 44.

Fire Police shut the roadway down between Cumberland Dr & Doe Run Rd for the duration of the incident. Fire crews secured the batteries on the vehicles and placed oil dry down on fluids leaking from both vehicles.

Flings Towing arrived and removed both vehicles and assisted with clean up of the remainder of the debris.

Ambulance 37-2 transported to a local hospital and MICU 44 was made available.
