On Tuesday morning 3/29/2022 at 11:52am the box assignment was dispatched to the 900blk of E Lincoln Hwy in Coatesville. As units were responding to that location the address was updated to W Lincoln Hwy which put the box in Valley Township. Chief 44 (Westwood) had the entire assignment that was due in the City respond there and added 44 & 31 to the call. Deputy 8 arrived on location first and had smoke showing from the eaves. Engine 37-2 and Engine 76 arrived and the crew from 37 stretched an 1 3/4 handline into the residence and found fire in the attic area. Crews made a quick knock on the fire and began to open up the ceiling to expose any hidden fire or hot spots. The fire was under control quickly and crews cleared approx. 30 minutes later.
