On March 1st at 6:47pm the Modena Fire Company was dispatched to a brush fire on Jane Street.

Deputy 37 (Corle) made the response and was advised that the fire may be on Newlinville Road in South Coatesville. Ladder 41-1 and Engine 43 arrived and advise the fire was on Jane street off of Newlinville in East Fallowfield in Westwood local. Engine 37-2 with 4, Brush 37, and Utility 37 all made the response. Battalion 41 held the Newlinville command and Deputy 37 held Operations. Crews had 2 acres of woods on fire on a very steep hill making the fire attack very difficult. Brush 37, Atv 44, and Atv 35 assisted with fire suppression. Crews got the fire under control an hour into the operation. Modena’s crews were on scene for another hour wetting down hot spots and cleaning up. In total Modena was in service for 2 hours.
