Modena Fire Company and Westwood Fire Company took a break from Memorial Day festivities on May 29, 2023, to pay tribute to our esteemed veterans. These dedicated fire companies actively participated in a parade organized for "David's Drive." The procession commenced at East Fallowfield Park and culminated at Coatesville Veterans Hospital, where clothing and personal hygiene items were delivered for distribution among our deserving veterans.

The event was a heartfelt tribute in memory of David Turner, Jr., a beloved local resident of East Fallowfield. Following his unfortunate demise, David's family initiated this clothing drive and other initiatives to benefit military veterans.

Upon reaching the Veterans Hospital, members of the fire companies eagerly assisted in unloading the donated items.

Both fire companies extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dave's family for their unwavering support in allowing them to participate in this annual event, thereby preserving this remarkable tradition that honors our veterans.
