On August 19th at 2:13 pm the Modena Fire Company was alerted to assist Westwood on a house fire in Valley Township. Battalion 44 went responding and requested the working fire dispatch. Engine 44-5 arrived on scene minutes after dispatch with smoke showing. Engine 37-2 crew assisted with opening up and hitting hotspot. Crews operated on scene for 50 minutes before being released.
