On Saturday Evening December 16th the company took the night off to celebrate the past year. This Christmas party has become a tradition for many year and is also where we honor those who went over and above throughout the year.
This evening allows friends, family and invited guest to enjoy a great meal prepared by all, followed by a short presentations of awards and then just let loss dancing and camaraderie, it is a night crews and staff anticipate every year.
This years awards were as follows:
EMS Awards presented by EMS Supervisor Luann Thomas: - Most improved EMS Provider: Sayge Hervey - Most EMS calls ran: Jennifer Daniels - Hervery - EMS Provider of the Year: Amber Pupko - Robert Ashby Award: Riley Hewson (This award is in honor of Paid EMT Robert Ashby that pasted away in the line of duty and is given to a Paid Employee Each year) - Medal of Valor: Paul Rullo (Lt Rullo responded to and EMS emergency where a patient was threating suicide by jumping of a bridge, Lt Rullo used some of his psychology schooling and spent a significant amount of time talk with this patient and altimetry talked that patient off the ledge of the bridge, saving this patients life)
Leon Pluck memorial Presidents award presented by President Liz Corle, awarded to Treasure Mike Townsley for his continued dedication to the company.
Chief Dowlin then presented President Corle with a plaque Thanking her for her many years of service as President, Liz will be stepping down in 2024.
Fire Awards presented by Chief Dowlin Firefighter of the Year: Demetri Moyer Most Fire Calls made: Billy Lewis 200 Club awards (crew members that made over 200 calls): Chris Corle 100 Club Awards (crew members that made over 100 calls): Billy Lewis, Demetri Moyer, Brandon Shilling, Paul Rullo, Mike Proudfoot, Ethan Wasson, Todd Bryant, Andrae Reason, Cody Rogers, Frank Dowlin Fire Chief Award: Cody Rogers (Annual award given to a crew member that went over and above throughout the year)
Chief Dowlin then announced the 2024 Fire Officer line up in witch he's proudly passing the 5 horns to his son.

Chief Dowlin then made a very special presentation to Modena Borough President Jennifer Daywalt, Jen signal handedly spend countless hours writing and securing two grants totaling $620,000 for the purchase of a new 3000 Gal. Kenworth/Mid-West Tanker (Due in early 2025) as well as new electric rescue tools, hose, and Nozzles. This grant was a game changer for this company, and the communities is services.
