Brush Fire In Newlin Township

On March 16th 4:18pm the Modena Fire Company along with the West Bradford Fire Company was dispatched to a brush fire in the area of Ridings Way in Newlin Township. Chief 37 (Corle) made the response and was advised that there was 2 acres and a lawnmower involved. Chief 39 (Law) arrived a short time after dispatch and confirmed the report. Tac 39 was the first unit on scene and worked to extinguish the lawnmower. Brush 37 and Brush 39 arrived simultaneously and worked on extinguishing the brush fire. Engine 37-2 supplied water to the units and the crew assisted with the hitting hotspots and wetting down the mower. Crews from both companies had the fire under control in 20 minutes and operated on scene for approximately 45 minutes before command cleared all the units.
