| On Friday, September 11th, 2009 Deputy Chief Perine was invited by 4th Grade students at East Fallowfield Elementary School to attend their 9/11 Memorial Service held at the school along with other area emergency responders.
Joining Deputy Chief Perine representing Modena was his wife Katie Perine, joining them were Chief McWilliams from Westwood Fire Company, East Fallowfield Township Emergency Management Coordinator Sirna, and the East Fallowfield Township Police Department.
The morning began with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts presenting the flag. Students were then reminded of 9/11/01 and what that day meant to America. They were then told what our local emergency responders mean to the community.
After spending time visiting with the classroom, everyone in attendance watched the various presentations and sang anthems and songs.
We would like to thank the staff and students of the East Fallowfield Elementary School for honoring the local responders and never forgetting what 9/11 means to our Country. |
