Trees & Wires Close Hephzibah Hill Road

On Thursday August 15 2010 at 0807 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched to 475 Hephzibah Hill Road in Modena Borough for reported trees and wires down.

Many members were on station prior the call for a scheduled class that day when they experienced power surges at the station. Tac 37 arrived on scene to find a large tree that had broken a pole and broke many primary wires off going to near by homes.

PECO was notified and arrived sometime later , Hephzibah Hill Road was closed between North Brandywine Avenue and Strasburg Road. Once power was secured personnel assisted PECO cutting up and removing the tree for line crews to come in.

Tac 37 went available at 0929, however fire police remained on scene into the early afternoon awaiting PECO to finish.
