| On Friday, April 6, 2011 the Modena Fire Company was presented with a check from the Pennsylvania American Water Company's Grant Program.
Each year, the Pennsylvania American Water Company gives back to local fire companies by offering funding for equipment purchases which will assist in providing fire protection to the community.
Chief Dowlin provided a written funding request to Mr. Jim Gable, Operations Superintendent for Pennsylvania American Water Company requesting a 2012 grant to assist with purchasing of addition safety vest.
A grant in the amount of $500 was approved.
