| On Friday, June 21st, 2013 Assistant Chief Wallce attended a press release photo shoot held at the Glen Moore Fire Company to recognize the recently awarded Federal Grant in the amount of $430,000 to benefit six Chester County Fire Companies.
Fire Chiefs from Glen Moore, Westwood, Cochranville, Modena, and Thorndale were greeted by Congressman Pat Meehan, Pennsylvania's 7th District Representative.
Congressman Meehan congratulated the Fire Companies on securing the highly competitive funding and had an opportunity to review the types of radios which will be purchased by this Federal funding. The Congressman expressed his extreme gratitude to all of the volunteers who serve the community, elaborating that this funding will help firefighters focus on safety.
Caitlin Ganley, District Director from the Congressman's office was also on hand to congratulate the six agencies. We were also joined at this event by Wallace Township Supervisors Rob Jones and Barbara D'Angelo along with Magistrate District Judge Cabry, who were all extremely appreciative to receive this important funding.
We would like to thank Congressman Meehan and his elected peers for their continued support of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program which provides this much needed funding to our local communities.
