On Friday evening members of the Ambulance committee started the trip out to Pittsburg for final inspection of the new ambulance 37-1. Members got with-in and hour of the dealer before enjoying a nice dinner and find a hotel for the night.

The next morning members took the short drive to PFund Superior Sales where they met up with our sales rep. at 10am. For the next hour and a half or so members went over the ambulance with the spec sheets to ensure everything was the way it was ordered.

After the inspection Chief Dowlin signed all the paper work and the truck was then official ours. Members loaded up to start the 4 1/2 trip home.

On the way home member decided to jump off the turn pike and stop by the Flight 93 Memorial. A large sign at the entrance of the memorial has a paved area for pictures, so it was the perfect opportunity to snap a few shots of the new rig. Afterward members made the 2 1/2 mile drive into the memorial itself, being there was a very moving experience they done a great job on the memorial and continue to build information and learning centers scheduled to be done in 2015, we would strongly recommend stopping in there if you get out that way.

After visiting the memorial member stopped for dinner and then continued the rest of the way home, Ambulance 37-1 arrived on station at 8pm, the unit is scheduled for radio install and other equipment mounting this coming week we hope to place the unit in service with-in the next week or so.
