On Monday evening April 14, 2014 the Modena Fire Company took a break from an evening of cleaning to welcome some extended family to the station, normally the second Monday is dedicated for the companies monthly meeting however after a long weekend of working fires the meeting was cancelled and apparatus and station clean up was on the agenda.

Although the meeting was cancelled one order of business remained on the agenda. At 7pm the family of the late Leon Pluck joined the active crew at the station, the family was invited down for a dedication ceremony for the new Ambulance 37-1.

At 7 pm the chief asked the crew to take a break from cleaning and gather around the new ambulance. The chief explained to the Pluck family now the unit was order in September of 2013 and how after the untimely death of Leon it became very apparent to all that the new ambulance would be dedicated in his memory. Leon's wife Mona at that time was asked to uncover the dedication plaque on the side of the unit which she did with tears in her eyes. She stepped aside and Chief Dowlin read to the whole crew what the plaque read as not everyone had seen the plaques before now.

Chief Dowlin then presented a plaque for the family to take home commemorating the ceremony. After a hug and clearing of tears Mona Pluck then addressed the company thanking them for being part of their family for all the years, she said Leon would have been honored by this dedication and that he lived for running these ambulance's.

Afterwards the family took time to look over the ambulance and eventually even took a ride around town topping off a great evening with family.

The Plaques on the side of the ambulance reads:
