Passing of Long Time Member and Dear Friend Mark L. Trego

By Fire Chief Frank Dowlin
January 25, 2015

It's with our deepest regrets that the Modena Fire Company announces the passing of Mark L. Trego on Sunday January 25, 2015 at the early age of 53.

Mark joined the company in 1978 and was very active member of the company until a recent illness.

Throughout the years Mark held the Position of Trustee, Lieutenant, and most recently Safety Officer.

The fire company was literally a second home for Mark, day and night Mark could be scene standing out front with one leg propped up on the building smoking a cigarette. It wasn't too often you could get Mark to go away from the station or see him outside the borough, we use to call him the Mayor.

Mark seemed to always be on the receiving end of many jokes, he always took them like a champ and would just give you a few choice words and move on, however he was always sure to get pay backs.

Markie will be dearly missed by all of us.
