Shortly after returning from the Keystone Valley standby the Modena Fire Company was alerted to standby at the Avondale Fire Company as they worked at a garage fire on Clay Creek Road.

Engine 37-2 with a crew of six made the immediate response and after the short trip arrived in Avondale only to back up to the front of their station and then get called to the Scene to assist at 800 Clay Creek Road.

On scene crew went to work assisting Avondale and multiple other mutual aid crews with extinguishing the fire. The fire which started in an attached garage was held basically to that garage by some aggressive firefighting by initial crews. The fire did however catch a small section of woods on fire that surrounded the garage but again was the spread of that fire was quickly controlled.

The fire was placed under control shortly after Modena crew arrived but with extensive overhaul crews remained on scene for several move hours.

Engine 37-2 was released and returned to Modena around 1830.
