Vehicle Rescue Training with Westwood, Night 1

On Monday Evening April 6, 2015 while Brush 37 was down south playing with smoke the bear, 15 other active members traveled to Westwood to participate in a joint training on vehicle rescue.

One goal given to the captain's in 2015 was to expand training and get with neighboring company's the month of April is completely dedicated to Vehicle Rescue and working with Westwood as they are our primary rescue company on 90% of our district.

Tonight was goals were to familiarize Modena members with Rescue 44, with our increase of new members most of them never worked with or even seem Rescue 44 and had no idea of the equipment/capability's of the truck.

Following going over Rescue 44 crews worked on vehicle stabilization for some time, the night ended with some of the new members getting instruction on physically using the hydraulic tools and cutting cars.

Training will continue next Wednesday at Westwood moving forward with additional vehicle rescue training, The members of the Modena Fire Company would like to express our thanks to Westwood for this opportunity.
