Work House Fire in Manchester Farm Section of East Fallowfield

On Saturday afternoon at 1629 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched to an reported dwelling fire at 134 Bridle Path Lane in Manchester Farm Development. Dispatched With Modena was Thorndale, Coatesville, Westwood, and Coatesville VA.

Captain 37 (Corle) made the response and was advised by Chester County fire radio they would be alerting his working fire dispatch as they were receiving multiple call. Captain 37 arrived a minute later reporting fire through the roof, going with defensive operations establishing Bridle Path Command.

The working fire dispatch re-alerted all companies and added East Brandywine for Rapid Intervention.

Ladder 41-1 arrived on scene and took position in front of the structure and prepared for Ladder pipe operations, Engine 76 arrived and took position in front of ladder 41 deploying master steams, Engine 37-2 arrived and established water supply to ladder 41 and then established a second water supply to themselves feeding Engine 76 and deploying master stream of their own.

All operation remain defensive as there was a structural collapse early on in the fire of the roof and side "C" of the structure. A second alarm was alerted for man power.

The fire was placed under control at 1722, however Modena units remained on scene during the investigation until 2108.

The fire was investigated by Chester County and State Fire marshal's and was ruled to be accidental.
