Today the Modena Fire Company says good bye to a piece of its history. Engine 37-1 1989 International/4-Guys engine was sold to a company called B&B Trucking out of Michigan.

Last evening the crew gave the old girl one last bath before sending her on the way this morning around 11am.

The Engine which was built by Modena in 1989 served to company as the first line engine until 2001.In 2001 the truck became 2nd out in the first due area and has served the company and our community well.

The company that bought the truck B&B Trucking refurbishes apparatus, they plain the re-chassis that truck for a company in the upper peninsula of Michigan. We will be keeping in contact with them during the process hoping to get some pictures as it moves on.

For some members the day was bitter sweet for members like the Chief he started his fire service carrier the same year that this truck went in service. 25 years later he passed the title to the new owned with a tier in his eye.

The company is now anxiously awaiting the new/used Engine 37-1 2004 Pierce Contender expected to in around September 1st from Strathmere NJ.
