Early Morning Accident with Entrapment in West Bradford

On Tuesday morning October 6, 2015 the Modena Fire Company along with Rescue 38 was alerted at 0639 to West Chester Road and South Bailey Road for an accident with confirmed entrapment.

Chief 37 (Dowlin) responded and was advised that Deputy43 was on scene confirming one trapped, Assistant 37 (Bryant) arrived and advised that the accident was in West Bradford Township at Luna Drive and West Chester Road requesting station 39 to be alerted, Chief Dowlin arrived and established West Chester Road Command.

Ambulance 37-1 Engine 37-3 made the response, Ambulance 37-1 arrived and started patient care, Rescue 38 was first fire unit on scene at 0650 its crew stabilized the car and made quick work of the driver’s door gaining access to patient, Extrication was complete at 0655.

Engine 37-3 crew arrived and controlled hazards and cleaned up debris, Engine 39-1 arrived and assisted. A second ambulance was alerted from Westwood to evaluate additional patients.

Fire Police from Modena, Thorndale, and West Bradford closed the road during rescue operations.

All units cleared the scene at 0738
