In preparation of the blizzard crew member bunkered down at the fire house for what would be a long few days.

Starting Friday night and going into Sunday crews ran multiple fire and EMS calls all while trying to keep the ramps clear shoveling and snow blowing every hour on the hour so units could get in and out.

Throughout the event crews made meals, watched movies, and of course sleep making for an overall fun weekend.

At any one point there were at least 10+ members on station throughout the event. Crew members once arriving at station found their personal car buried under the 25 plus inches of snow and at that point remained at station until Sunday.

These volunteers selflessness and their time away from their family’s during such an catastrophic event is what allows our residents to rest easy knowing helps just a phone call away.
