On the morning of Tuesday April 12th at 0644 the Modena Fire Company was alerted to assist the Westwood Fire Company along with one Engine each from Sadsburyville Fire Company and a Tanker from Cochranville Fire Company to the 200 block of Glenrose Road in East Fallowfield Township for reports of smoke in a home.

As units responded they were advised that the caller was the neighbor who said the house was full of smoke, possibly from the kitchen.

Deputy Chief Scott from Westwood arrived to report a single story residential home with nothing showing, upon walking towards the home Chief Scott reported light smoke from a small fire in the kitchen.

As units arrived a water can was used to completely put the small fire out. Crews used Mechanical Ventilation to remove the smoke from the home and checked for any possible extension using thermal imaging cameras.

The situation was quickly under control and all units cleared the scene at 0713.
