On Saturday May 14th, the Modena Fire Company held a chicken and rib barbecue fundraiser.

Residents travel from all over come to Modena to get some of Big John's famous chicken. John and other members have been cooking chicken at the company barbecues for over 20 years.

The active crew has always been fortunate to have a group of hard working men and women that head up the barbecues and other fundraisers to raise money for company needs. Their time and commitment is always appreciated.

This was the first of many chicken barbecues and fundraisers planned this year, so be sure to check the events calendar for future dates.
