Accident Report Serious on Mortonville Bridge

On Wednesday July 13, 2016 the Modena Fire Company was alerted at 1532 to an accident reported serious at Brandywine Creek and Strasburg Roads.

Engine 37-1 was already on the street heading for a house fire in Caln and they redirected and made the immediate response along with Ambulance 37-2. Deputy 37 (Willmott) arrived on scene reporting two vehicles head on, on the bridge itself with two patients to be checked.

Ambulance 37-2 arrived and evaluated the patient and determined a second ambulance would be needed, Coatesville EMS was alerted, and additional fire police were also alerted from West Bradford to help Traffic 37 close the road as the bridge was impassable.

EMS transported all patients to local hospitals, fire personnel controlled hazards and cleaned debris.

Company remained on scene until all vehicle were removed from bring, Modena and West Bradford fire police cleared at 1644.
