On Saturday October 8th 2016 Modena crews gathered at the station around 8 am and took apparatus up to the East Fallowfield Park for some fun for all the families.

Every year around this time East Fallowfield has what they call East Fallowfield Park Day. This is a chance for the Township residents to come out and enjoy shows, bands, food, and most of all each other. Hundreds of residents come to this event every year.

Children played all day long on the playground as other took the nature walk around the park. A car show and flea market where among some of the events. Prizes, 50/50's where raffled off. as well.

Modena crews set up a table promoting fire prevention and fire safety, the children had a chance to get their very own fire company helmet and play on the fire and ems apparatus while on display by both companies that service East Fallowfield.

Modena and Westwood personnel teamed up to put on a vehicle rescue demonstration, crews showed how the hydraulic rescue tools were used to cut people from cars, Chief Dowlin took the opportunity to explaining step by step what was being demonstrated, and then answer question from the crowd.

Modena units cleared the event at 3pm.

The Modena Fire Company would like to thank the Township for allowing our families to be part of this wonderful event, and we look forward to next year.
