Well after almost 5 years the much-anticipated opening of the Frog Hollow Road Coved Bridge has arrived.

In November of 2011 the bridge was struck by a tractor trailer and was structural damaged forcing it to be closed.

After years of discussion of whether to reopen it or not a decision was made to take it down piece by piece and rebuild it stronger and better.

Construction started last year and finished up this past week.

The road has been reopened between Covered Bridge and Strasburg.

Motorist are reminded that Frog Hollow Road is a heavy pedestrian and horse traffic road, there are also speed hump throughout this section, so low speed limits.
