On Monday, February 3, 2017 the Fire Company received official notification from the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner's Office that two more grants have been awarded to our organization totaling $22,448.21 through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.

The Modena Fire Company was awarded $15,000 for our Fire Grant and $7,448.21 for our Ambulance Grant. The Fire Grant will go towards the purchase of new personal protective equipment (turnout gear) and Debt reduction on the new Engine 37-1. The Ambulance Division grant will help purchase the new stretcher lifting system in Ambulance 37-2.

This grant program is a great asset to all Fire and Ambulance companies throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and we would like to thank State Fire Commissioner Tim Solobay and his staff for their assistance in providing this program annually to our volunteers.
