On Wednesday February 15, 2017 the Modena Fire Company was presented with a check from the Pennsylvania American Water Company's Grant Program.

Each year, the Pennsylvania American Water Company gives back to local fire companies by offering funding for equipment purchases which will assist in providing fire protection to the community.

Chief Dowlin provided a written funding request to the Operations Superintendent for Pennsylvania American Water Company requesting a 2017 grant to assist with purchasing of some addition Ropes and Rigging Equipment.
