Door Pop on South 1st Ave in South Coatesville Borough

On Monday evening February 27, 2017, the Modena Fire Company was dispatched at 1908 to an auto accident in the 1000 block of South 1st Ave in South Coatesville Borough.

The company was out training so Engine 37-1, Engine 37-2, And Ambulance 37-1 all made the immitted response. Units were advised on response that police were reporting entrapment. Captain 37 requested a rescue be added, Medic 93 and Ladder 41-2 were alerted on the upgrade.

Units arrived on scene of a two vehicle accident head on, crews went in service popping a door, controlling hazards, and patient care. Fire Police closed the road between Modena and Newlinville.

Extrication was complete at 1921.

All units cleared the scene at 2004.
