Working Kitchen Fire In Providence Hill Section of East Fallowfield

On Wednesday evening April 5, 2017 the Modena Fire Company along with multiple mutual add companies were alerted at 1853 for a reported house fire at 140 Watch Hill Road in East Fallowfield.

Minutes after dispatch LT 37 Arrived on scene reporting a 2 story SFD with smoke showing, requesting working fire dispatch. The EMS crew entered the structure to fire a resident using a fire extinguisher knocking the fire down. After the fire was under control the assignment was held to 37 and 38 units.

Engine 38 arrived and crew went in service with ventilation. 37 and 38 crews worked together to check for extension. Utilities were shut down and Fire Marshals were called.

EMS crews evaluated the home owner for minor burns but did not transport.

38 units were released prior to 37 to cover an accident for 37 on South 1st Ave.

37 units cleared the scene about an hour later.
