Head on Accident on Modena Road in South Coatesville

On Thursday evening September 21, 2017 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched at 2151 for a reported accident in front of 144 Modena Road in South Coatesville Borough.

Chief 37 (Dowlin) made the response and was advised to use cause as it was believed the operators were in a heated altercation. Ambulance 37-1 was first to arrive advising two vehicles head on with all lanes blocked. Chief 37 arrived and took Modena Road Command.

Engine 37-1 arrived on scene and provided lighting and crews started to control fluid hazards and start debris clean up. Traffic 37 and fire police closed Modena Road between Cambria and Overhill Roads.

Ambulance 37-1 and Ambulance 37-2 took patient care and later transported to local hospitals along with Medic 93.

Flings towing arrived to remove cars from the roadway.

All units cleared the scene at 2304.
