On Sunday night at 8:47pm Modena Fire Company along with Coatesville Ladder 41 were dispatched to a residence in the 1300blk of S Bailey Rd in East Fallowfield for a chimney fire. Upon arrival crews found fire showing from the top of the chimney and requested the house fire response.

Companies from Thorndale, VA Hospital, Po Mar Lin, Wagontown and East Brandywine were added to the call to assist.

Engine 37-2 arrived on location and stretched an 1 3/4 handline while the crew from Ladder 41 placed ground ladders to the roof and made there way up. Ladder 41's crew and the crew from Engine 37-2 worked together to extinguish the fire in the chimney while other crews checked for any extension.

Companies were on scene for approx. 1 hour.
