Today, the Modena Fire Company proudly attended the graduation ceremony for Firefighter Jake Speers who successfully completed the rigorous Firefighter 1 training. This comprehensive program encompassed more than 200 hours of intensive classroom instruction and practical assessments conducted over the past few months.
Jake, became a member of Modena back in April, currently with the Blue Rock Fire Department in Lancaster, but is rooming with Firefighter Brandon Shilling and plains to run here in Modena from time to time. Jake is originally from Ireland and is a legacy firefighter following his father who severed 30 plus years in the fire service.
The members and officers of the Modena Fire Company extend their heartfelt congratulations to Firefighter Jake Speers, as well as the entire graduating class. Their commitment and perseverance throughout this demanding training program are commendable.
