On this beautiful Labor Day 2025 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched to the Manchester Farms Development for a report brush fire to the rear of one of the homes.

Crews were staffing at the station so Engine 37, Tanker 37 made the immediate response followed behind by Brush and Utility 37.

Crews arrived to find about a 40x20 area of grass burnt to the rear of two houses, the fire was being held at bay by the residents with green lines, crews deployed a hand line off brush 37 supplied by Tanker 37, the fire was quickly placed under control with all hand working.

This is a unfortunate reminder to all residents that the area is dry due to the lack of rain this summer and please keep and eye of you camp fires when burning.
