On September 27 2025 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched at 2054 along with Multiple other mutual aid companies to a report it Barn Fire in the 3000 block of Doe Run Church Road in East Fallowfield.
Ambulance 37-3 was the first unit to arrive reporting a large barn well involved. Assistant 37 (Bryant) arrived on scene and established to Doe Run Church Command and requesting first alarm tanker force. Engine 37 with multiple other mutual aid arrived on scene starting fire suppression and setting up water supply.
During initial set up of operations, multiple firefighter, and EMS personnel with no due regard for their own safety, bravely entered the structure to release as many horses as possible. 11 of 13 horse were rescued, sadly 2 parishes in the fire.
A fill site was established in South Coatesville due to the large turnaround time for tankers. A second Alarm tanker task force was also struck.
Companies worked for several hours to extinguish the fire. Some companies were released around midnight a few companies remained on scene extinguishing hot spots until 0317 in the morning.
