On Thursday evening, May 24th at 2126 hrs, the Modena Fire Company along with the Pomeroy and Cochranville Fire Company's were dispatched to assist the Westwood Fire Company at 5 Park Ave in East Fallowfield on a reported house fire.

At 2129 hours, Police from East Fallowfield arrived on scene reporting flames showing, at 2132 hours, Deputy 44 arrived reporting a working fire on a three-story, single-family dwelling. Deputy 44 assumed "Park Avenue Command", and requested a Working Fire Dispatch, which entails re-alerting the 4 companies, and added the Coatesville Fire Department for Rescue 43 and Medic 93 from Brandywine Hospital.

Engine 37-2 arrived on scene and its crew assisted with fire suppression, and supplied water to Engine 29-1, who was supplying Engine 44-5.

Fire suppression and overhaul were quite time consuming due to large amounts of contents in the residence; Fire was not placed under control until 2345 hours

Additional units where called in from the Parkesburg, and Martins Corner Fire Companies for manpower with the extensive overhaul crews where getting physically exausted and needed to be switched out to prevent injury.

Crews worked into the early morning hours Friday all units cleared the scene at 0103 hrs. The cause is still under investigation.
